Since a number of players involved in soccer, it’s natural to get hurt. And, fortunately, some soccer injuries are minor. However, in serious cases, injuries like broken bones and concussions may happen.
Did you know ankle sprains are most common while playing soccer? And other frequent injuries may include the calf strains, shin splints, groin injuries and knee injuries. Moreover, players get overuse injuries of stress fractures while playing with pain or extended hours of playing.
1. Check Out the Gears You May Need
While playing with a quality leather soccer ball, a player doesn’t require a lot of gear more than cleats and shin guards. However, it is a good idea to gather important equipment before you play.
2. Soccer Cleats
Always buy shoes with modern cleats or ribbed soles. Shoes with screw-in cleats pose a higher risk of injury. So, use them when you need extra traction on the field with tall grass or the surface is wet. It prevents your child from slipping. While training your child with our soccer ball attached to the string, train them to use cleats with proper fit and lace them up tightly before taking the field.
3. Shin Guards:
To prevent lower leg injury to your child, train them to use shin guards. A good shin guard will end just below the knee and come up with a close fit around the ankle bone. It will work great with cleats and socks.
4. Soccer Socks
Soccer socks are great to hold the shin guards securely in a place. While buying soccer training ball, buy these elements too to make it a habit for your child to wear safety elements.
5. Before Taking the Field
